COMPUTER ASSISTED DRAFTING AND DESIGN
Interested in engineering or design as a career? Do you like working with computers? If so, then Computer Assisted Drafting and Design (CADD) class is what you need. With the Autodesk Inventor software program, you can design 3D models of complex parts, find their engineering properties and create dimensioned detail drawings. Then, you can combine the parts into assemblies along with standard components from a built-in library. Assemblies can be animated to study their motion and to check for part interference.
The second semester will focus mainly on architectural design where the student will complete 3D drawings and renderings of small buildings and residential homes using Architectural Revit software.
This course can be taken as a semester or full year course.
0.5 Credits per Semester
Grades 10-12
Prerequisite: None
