FURNITURE AND CABINET MAKING
This course will provide students with experience in the construction of cabinets, cases, furniture and other interior woodwork. Students learn to distinguish between different types of furniture construction and their appropriate applications and how to use various woodworking machines and power tools for cutting and shaping wood. Furiniture and cabinet making covers the different methods of joining pieces of wood, how to use mechanical fasterners, and how to attach hardware. Job planning, organizing and preparation will precede the construction of a major cabinet making project.
